1070 INVITATIONS DOLED OUT TO PNP CANDIDATES IN 251st DRAW

On February 02 2022 at 14:16:27 UTC only the Provincial Nominee Program Express Entry draw was done by the Canadian Government under Express Entry Program. All profiles created before February 18 2021 at 05:05:15 UTC are eligible for this draw.

It was expected, from the latest round of announcements, that only PNP specific draws would take centre stage for time being until backlogs are cleared.

In this latest draw, 1070 PNP candidates were invited with CRS as low as 674. Since it is a PNP specific draw, so 600 additional points are added to PNP score which means Express Entry score of 74+ were eligible for this draw.

In previous PNP draw, 1036 invitations were sent. Also, this draw is 251st draw since the launch of the Express Entry program.

Internal briefing notes from IRCC suggest that Canada will be able to hold Express Entry draws for FSWP and CEC candidates once half of the backlogged applications have been processed. The immigration department wants estimated processing times to return to the standard of six months. Although the IRCC website suggests estimated processing times are still six months, the memo said FSWP candidates could be waiting about 20 months, and CEC candidates eight months. Fraser said these inaccuracies on the IRCC website will be fixed in the coming months.
